According to a press release issued by the government, there will be an additional burden of 2,366.82 crores on the exchequer. With this decision of the government government employees Along with this, pensioners and family pensioners will also benefit. Employees will get the increased DA amount from 1st April 2023. Earlier the DA of government employees in Tamil Nadu was 38%, now it has been increased to 42%. As per the press release, in the coming days the state government will also increase the DA as per the central measures.

Annual profit of Rs 7,536:
The minimum salary for Tamil Nadu government employees is Rs 15,700. After the 4 percent increase in dearness allowance, the salary will be increased by Rs 628 per month. If this is also applied on an annual basis, then it will be an increase of Rs 7,536. under 7th pay commission DA of central employees It is extended twice a year in January and July. How much DA will increase is decided on the basis of inflation rate.

4% hike in DA in UP:
Earlier, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh had also increased the DA of the employees by 4%. With this, DA and DR in UP has increased from 38% to 42%. UP employees will get the benefit of increased DA from January 1, 2023.

Central employees expect DA to be increased from July 1. The government may announce the DA hike in September or October. But this increase will be effective from July 1 only. This time also a 4% hike in DA is expected.
