Lucknow Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has lashed out at the ruling BJP after the humiliating defeat in the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh.
In a tweet on Thursday, he said misuse of government machinery, their malicious, oppressive behavior and use of religion for political gain by the ruling party in UP to minimize the impact of anti-people policies, wrongful activities etc. on elections. Very serious and very worrisome, which is fatal to democracy.
Hitting out at the BJP in the next tweet, he told the party workers that these fierce anti-people challenges need to be faced with determination. For this the office-bearers and workers of the party should formulate a solid strategy and it (BJP) should start preparing ahead especially for the Lok Sabha elections.
It may be noted that BSP supremo Mayawati has called a meeting of district coordinators along with senior party workers, circle and district presidents on Thursday.
BSP supremo Mayawati has been continuously attacking the BJP after the municipal election results. He also said in a statement three days ago that the BJP government had misused the government machinery in the UP civic elections, which led to his victory. He said that BSP will not remain silent because of this conspiracy of BJP, but when the time comes, BJP will surely get its answer.
