Benipura won in the quarter finals of Panchnad Cricket Championship

Auraiya: On the ninth day of ‘Panchnad Cricket Championship’ organized by Chambal Vidyapeeth Parivar, the quarter final match between Benipura and Kartalapur teams took place. Due to the strong wind, a sheet of dust used to cover the Himmatpur ground again and again.

Batting after winning the toss, Benipura team scored 125 runs in 12 overs with the loss of six wickets. Benipura team player Sunny scored 76 runs with four sixes and nine fours. Benipura team captain Yashwant scored 23 runs. Akshay and Avneesh took two wickets each.

In reply, the Kartalapur team chasing the target lost by scoring 119 runs with the loss of nine wickets. The match remained interesting till the last moment. Alam Ali and Golu, players of the Kartalapur team, scored 34-34 runs. Manvendra took three wickets and Moin took two wickets. Benipura team player Sunny was the man of the match. He was presented with the trophy by Sunil Nishad and Raghavendra Pandey.

This championship is being held near the confluence of five rivers in the memory of the revolutionaries of 1857. In which players from Jalaun, Auraiya, Etawah and Bhind have participated. During this, homage was paid to Amar Shaheed Pandari Wale Baba, the great revolutionary warrior of Chambal region.
