Kanpur (Kanhapur): On the initiative of the central government, the wages of laborers working under MNREGA has been increased by Rs 17. This system has been implemented from April 01, 2023 itself. After this increase, now a laborer will get Rs.230 per day. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Labor Employment MGNREGA Kanpur Ramesh Chandra on Wednesday.
He informed that the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act was first implemented in 2006. In which unskilled labor is given work. The eligibility of which is being made available to people from 18 years to 60 years. When it was implemented, very little money was given. But central government increases some money every year.
In the financial year 2022-23, the government was paying Rs 213 per worker. However, the central government has increased the rate by Rs 17 per laborer from the month of April. Now the government will give a laborer 230 rupees per day in his account.
