WEST BENGAL FACTORY BLAST: An explosion occurred in a factory in Agra in West Bengal’s East Medinipur district on Tuesday (May 16). In which seven people have died and many people have been injured. Police gave this information. The blast took place in an illegal firecracker factory. The BJP state president has demanded an NIA probe into the Agra blast. A police official said the blast was so loud that the house where the factory was running collapsed.
He said seven people were killed in the blast while several others were injured. The blast took place inside a house where a firecracker factory was running. Investigation is going on in this matter. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. The factory was raided last month and action was taken against its owner. Despite the action, firecrackers were being burst here.
The Chief Minister has ordered an investigation
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that an incident has taken place in Agra near the Odisha border. The accused was arrested earlier. There was a charge sheet against him. He got bail. He started illegal business again. Two months ago, the BJP won that Gram Panchayat. Many people died in this accident. The owner has fled to Orissa. CID has been ordered to investigate. It has nothing to do with law and order, it is an illegal factory.
“No objection to central inquiry”
He said that we are seeing how many of these are illegal factories. We will give Rs 2.5 lakh as compensation to the deceased. I have no objection to those who shout NIA-NIA. If justice is done by NIA then why do I mind. We have started our investigation. Keep politics out of this and let the police do their job. This is not the time to do politics but to help people. I have no objection to any central inquiry.
BJP raised questions
Regarding the blast in the factory, BJP leader Agnimitra Paul said that if we talk about the industry in West Bengal, there are bomb factories everywhere, because whenever there is a blast, the first thing that comes to know is that there has been a blast. In a firecracker factory. But later when it is investigated it will be found that it is a bomb manufacturing factory and has links with various terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda.
