Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the administration is responsible for maintaining law and order in the state. The administration is doing its job, but common citizens should also cooperate in maintaining law and order.
CM Shinde said on Tuesday that devotees tried to forcefully enter the Trimbakeshwar temple during the Urus yesterday at Trimbakeshwar in Nashik district. The state government has taken this matter seriously. Now people of every community should come forward and maintain peace to prevent such cases. The state is inhabited by people of all castes. Don’t hurt anyone’s feelings. There will be no stressful atmosphere.
The Chief Minister has said that the Nashik Police has registered an FIR in connection with the illegal gathering of people at the main gate of the Trimbakeshwar temple. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also ordered the formation of an SIT to probe the incident. The SIT will also probe a similar incident last year. In Trimbakeshwar last year too, during the Urus, devotees tried to forcefully enter the Trimbakeshwar temple.
It may be noted that on Monday, people of other religions tried to forcefully enter Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik. After this there was tension outside the temple. The Brahmin Federation has demanded a thorough investigation and action in this matter. The Brahmin Maha Sangh has warned of fierce agitation if action is not taken.
