Hardoi An out-of-control dumper hit a motorcycle in Mallwan police station area of Bilgram tehsil area of the district at around 2 am on Monday night. Three cousins who were riding a motorcycle were killed in the accident. The driver left the dumper and fled from the spot. The police have sent the dead bodies for post-mortem and started investigating the matter.
Mallwan Kotwal Sheshnath Singh said that Gyanendra (20), Lala (28) and Pintu (32), residents of Khurda Madar Nagar village, were three cousins. On Monday evening, the trio went on a bike to attend a wedding in Kalyanpur. A speeding dumper hit the motorcycle near Katra in Mallwan Nagar while returning from there late at night. In the accident, Gyanendra and Lala died on the spot and Pintu died in the hospital. After the incident, the driver left the dumper and ran away.
The in-charge inspector said that based on the complaint received from the relatives of the deceased, a case has been registered in this matter. Based on the number, the dumper has been seized and the search for the absconding driver is underway.
