Ghaziabad: In Ghaziabad district, adjacent to Delhi, angry over the arrest of an advocate, lawyers staged a traffic jam in front of the collector’s office and police headquarters on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the protesting lawyers raised slogans against the police. People had to face a lot of hardship due to the jam.

Two days ago, the Niwari police picked up advocate Pawan Tyagi from Suhana village and locked him up in the police station. Following this on Monday, advocates staged a demonstration at the headquarters and demanded the immediate release of the fellow advocate, but with no action, hundreds of lawyers staged a demonstration at the police headquarters on Tuesday. Because of this, the traffic on Hapur road passing in front was completely jammed. Due to which long queues of vehicles were formed. Due to which people had to face great difficulty. Seeing this, the police had to divert the route. As of this writing, the lawyers’ protest continues.
