Gauri Khan decorated the ‘Mannat’ bungalow herself, Shah Rukh revealed

Both supported each other in every ups and downs of life. Shah Rukh Khan recently launched Gauri Khan’s coffee table book. During this ceremony, he made some revelations related to his life. This time Shahrukh also praised Gauri Khan.

Shahrukh Khan also talked about the early days of his career. Shah Rukh said that when he did not have money to choose a designer to design the house, Gauri Khan herself took the initiative to design ‘Mannat’. Gauri Khan is not only Shahrukh’s wife but also a famous interior designer. He also has his own interior designing company. Now Gauri Khan has launched a coffee table book named ‘My Life in Design’. Gauri Khan has revealed her journey as an interior designer in this book.

At the launch event, Shah Rukh said that Gauri Khan started her career as an interior designer by designing ‘Mannat’. Shah Rukh said, “When we bought the house, we loved it, but it was out of our reach. Having already spent a lot of money on a house in Delhi, I didn’t think this bungalow in Mumbai was expensive. The house we lived in before this bungalow was not my house. That was my director’s house. They gave us that house to live in. We didn’t have much money at that time and when we got money we bought this bungalow.”

Shah Rukh further said, “Even after buying the bungalow, the expenses after that were beyond our reach. Buying a house is different, but keeping it clean and tidy required more money. We didn’t have money for that. We called a few designers, but we couldn’t afford the cost figures they quoted. We didn’t have that much money at that time. Then I took Gauri’s help. I said to Gauri, you have artistry, why don’t you become a designer? Thus began the designing of Mannat. Whatever money we earned we spent on buying things for ‘mannat’. This is where Gauri’s new journey began.”
