Khandwa: A fire broke out in the branch office of Bank of Baroda, equipment and furniture got burnt

Khandwa, May 15 (Hindustan Times). A sudden fire broke out in the branch office of Bank of Baroda located at Shivaji Chowk in the city on Monday around 8:30 pm. On receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a lot of effort.

According to the information, people in the branch office of the bank saw smoke and informed the police and fire brigade. As soon as the incident was reported, four fire tenders reached the spot and started relief work. As the water was being thrown, the flames were growing. Furniture and equipment went up in smoke. Bank employees also reached the road. He said we were in the bank till 7.30 pm. Nothing was realized till then, but on reaching home it was learned that the bank was on fire.

TI Brajbhushan Hirve, ASP Seema Alawa and other officers reached the spot along Police Station Moghat Road. Thousands of people gathered on the roads across the area. The window panes were broken from the outside to throw water up to the office on the second floor. After this water was poured from the window. Firefighters brought the fire under control after two hours of struggle. In this incident, the equipment, furniture etc kept in the bank were burnt.
