Tata Punch EV Launch and Price Detail : ‘Tata Motors’ is preparing to launch a new electric car in the Indian market. It launched the most affordable electric car ‘Tiago EV’ in September last year. The Tata company is now preparing to bring an electrified version of its best-selling Punch. This car is likely to be launched in the middle of this year. Tata Punch EV was recently caught on camera during testing. The Tata Punch EV is similar to its ICE variant. But there will be some changes.
The Tata Punch EV is likely to get more features than its petrol variant. The spy pictures suggest that there will be disc brakes on all four wheels. It also has an electric parking brake. According to media reports, the Punch micro SUV may be based on the Gen 2 (Sigma) platform. It is an updated version of the ALFA architecture. Tata’s Altros is built on the Alpha architecture. But this platform will be modified for the Punch EV.
The floorplan of Tata Punch EV is Flat. So that a bigger battery pack can be fitted easily. This mini electric SUV is likely to be available with two battery pack options. The smaller battery pack found in the Tiago EV is expected to be 26kWh. Meanwhile, the second battery pack found in the Nexon EV Prime is of 30.2kWh. This car can run up to 300 kilometers once it is fully charged.
