MG Comet EV booking amount and introductory price: The ‘MG Comet’ EV has become a hot topic in the electric vehicle segment of India. MG Motor has started booking the Comet EV. The cheapest electric vehicle in the country at Rs. Booking can be done with token amount of 11 thousand. Test drive 202 for customers will start from 27th April. The deliveries of this electric car will begin later this month. The two-door MG Comet is available in three variants (Pace, Play and Plush). 7.78 Lakh Rs. 9.28 lakh and Rs. 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices are for the first 5000 customers only. These prices are likely to increase for the latter.
The new MG Comet EV packs a 17.3kWh battery pack and an electric motor that produces 42bhp / 110Nm. The battery pack is IP67 rated and offers a range of 230 km as per ARAI. The company is offering this car with a 3.3kW charger. It takes 7 hours to get fully charged. The battery pack for the Comet EV has been sourced from Tata Autocamp. MG says that its maintenance cost is Rs 519 per month.
The MG Comet EV measures 2974mm in length, 1505mm in width and 1640mm in height. Its wheel base is 2010mm. The interior of this electric car looks quite premium. It gets dual 10.25-inch screens (one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, three USB ports, iPod-style steering-mounted controls. There are many features like rotary drive selector in the center of this car. The car gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse camera and sensors. There is also a tire pressure monitoring system.
MG Comet EV comes in five color options. MG clarified that the introductory price is applicable only for the first 5 thousand bookings. So those who are interested should book this EV immediately. MG Comet EV can be booked through the company’s official website or the nearest dealership showroom. After 5 thousand booking, the price of this car will definitely increase. Tata Motors has made a similar offer for the Tiago EV as well. First the introductory price was announced..and then the prices of the vehicles were increased to around Rs. Done. increased to 70 thousand.
