Job Fair: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give appointment letters to 71 thousand youth today as part of the employment fair. Prime Minister Modi will address these youth through video conference at 45 places.

These youths will be given appointment letters to posts like Rural Postal Service, Postal Inspector, Commerce and Ticket Clerk, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspector, Nursing Officer, Assistant Security Officer, Fire Officer, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher.

Job fair organized at 45 centers in 22 states- This edition of the job fair will be organized at 45 centers across 22 states. Officials said all ministries and departments are working in mission mode to fill the existing vacancies. Appointments and filling of vacancies in each ministry are overseen by the Union Ministers.

Large number of vacancies in CAPF – A large number of vacancies are being filled in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) by the Ministry of Home Affairs, officials said. This recruitment is being done by recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Board. The selection process has been simplified for faster recruitment.

Officials said that the recruitment process is likely to speed up in the coming days. Because, the government in power in the year 2019 is in the final year of its tenure.

 

The scheme was launched in October last year : The Prime Minister launched the Rojgar Mela scheme in October last year. The first employment fair was held on October 22, 2022 and appointment certificates were issued to 75,000 newly selected people.

The 2nd Employment Fair was organized on 22nd November, 2022 and around 71,000 appointment letters were issued. The same number of appointment letters were given in the third job fair on 20 January 2023 and the fourth job fair on 13 April 2023.
