An online story seminar was organized by the Dogri Institute

Jammu, May 15 (Hindustan Times). The Dogri Institute organized an online Dogri story seminar in which a short story by Ved Rahi was presented by Prof. Shashi Pathania and Prof. Lalit Magotra and Rajeshwar Singh Raju presented their short stories. This information was given on Monday.

The seminar was inaugurated by Rajeswar Singh Raju, a well-known writer in English, Hindi and Dogri. He presented his short story Barkati, which revolves around a man-woman relationship in which lust triumphs over love and affection. Renowned Dogri writer Professor Lalit Magotra presents his short story Marne De Bada which revolves around the experiences of a rich man, when he plans his death so that he can know the reactions of others towards him after he is gone. Prof. Shashi Pathania presents Truti Di Chhatri, a short story by renowned short story writer, novelist, poet and filmmaker Ved Rahi, which revolves around the anguish of an old man after the death of his young son in a blast by terrorists.

Kahani Gosthi was presided over by Prof. Dogri Institute, Vice President, Jammu. By Veena Gupta. He congratulated the three narrators for their thought provoking stories. He said that all the three short story writers are known for their contribution to Dogri literature and Kahani Gosthi was very successful because the three stories had very different concepts and the structure of each story was also different. He further stated that in fact this story was started under the leadership of Prof. Goji Ved Rahi. Three generations of story writers like Lalit Magotra and now Rajeshwar Singh Raju were represented proving that short stories written in Dogri can compete well with short stories written in any other language.

Kahani Goshthi was moderated by noted Dogri short story writer and dramatist Jagdeep Dubey and felicitated by noted theater activist and Dogri poet Pawan Verma.
