New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed against Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju. The Supreme Court said that while dismissing the Bombay High Court petition, it was right to say that the credibility of the Supreme Court is very high. It does not detract from any such statement.
The petition was filed by the Bombay Lawyers Association. It was said in the petition that both have made statements against the honor of the Supreme Court. Both made statements regarding the collegium system, against which the petition was filed. The petition said that both are not eligible to hold the constitutional post. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had also rejected the petition.
