Stock Market Opening May 15, 2023: Today the Indian stock market opened with a boom. Trading in both the major indices opened with gains. Sensex opened with a gain of 125 points and Nifty by 25 points.
How did the market open today
At the beginning of the stock market today, the BSE Sensex managed to open at a level of 62,157.10 with a gain of 129.20 points or 0.21 per cent. On the other hand, the NSE’s Nifty opened at 18,339.30 with a gain of 24.50 points or 0.13 per cent.

Talking about the shares of Sensex and Nifty, 20 out of 30 shares of Sensex are trading at a fast pace and 10 shares are seeing a decline. Apart from this, 31 out of 50 shares of NSE Nifty are trading with profit and 19 shares with loss.
The market will react to these figures
Talking about last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex crossed the 62 thousand level with a gain of 973.61 points or 1.59 per cent. At the same time, the NSE Nifty closed close to 18,315 points. Apart from the Karnataka election results, some big economic figures were also released during the last week. Industrial production (IIP) growth stood at 1.1 per cent in March, the slowest in five months. At the same time, the retail inflation rate (CPI) fell to 4.7 per cent in April, which is the lowest in the last 18 months. These figures have been released on Friday, whose real effect will be seen only on Monday.
These companies will declare the result
During this business week starting from Monday i.e. 15 May, many big companies are going to present their quarterly results. These companies include names like Bank of Baroda, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, ITC, Indian Oil Corporation, JSW Steel, GAIL, NTPC, ITC, Powergrid Corporation. How these companies perform during the March quarter can have a direct impact on the market.
