Dhaka, May 15 (Hindustan Times). Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been sidelined from cricket for nearly six weeks due to a finger injury. The Bangladesh Cricket Board gave the above information on Sunday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said Shakib injured the tip of his right index finger while trying to take a catch during the second one-day international against Ireland in Chelmsford, England on Friday.

National team physio Bayzedul Islam Khan said, “The fracture in the finger was confirmed through X-ray on Saturday. These types of injuries usually take six weeks to heal.”
