Heat wave outbreak in Maharashtra: In Maharashtra, the heat wave has increased wildly in the state. As the temperature in the state is reaching a record high, the Meteorological Department has given indications of heatwave. According to it, temperature of 40 degrees Celsius has been recorded again in some places of the state. On the other hand, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Bhusaval, Jalgaon and Solapur have experienced a tremendous rise in temperature. The maximum temperature in Maharashtra is likely to increase by 1 to 2 degrees for the next three days. As a result, while the death of a 5-year-old child due to heat stroke in Hingoli district is still fresh, so far four people have died due to heat stroke in the state. In this background, the health department has appealed to take special care of children.
Be careful in bad weather as well as in the heat of the rising sun. Request to go out only when absolutely necessary, use umbrella or dupatta to reduce discomfort. Also, 26 out of 36 districts of Maharashtra are facing heat wave with average temperature of 40 degree Celsius in last two-three days.

According to the data provided by the Meteorological Department, Ahmednagar (40.0C), Satara (40.4C), Buldhana (40.6C), Pune (40.8C), Washim, Beed and Latur (41.0C), Osmanabad (41.0C), Solapur and Aurangabad (41.4C), Chandrapur (41.6C), Jalna, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Gadchiroli and Nagpur (42.0C each), Amravati (42.6C), Nanded (42.8C), Parbhani, Gondia, Bhandara and Dhule (43.0C) *C)C), Wardha (43.4C), Parbhani (43.6C), Akola (44.5C), Jalgaon (44.9C) were recorded. While Sindhudurg (33.0C), Mumbai city (34.4C), Ratnagiri (35.0C), Mumbai suburbs (35.2C), Kolhapur (35.6C), Thane (36.0C), Palghar (36.7C), Raigad (37.0C) Temperatures were recorded in Nandurbar (38.0C), Sangli (38.1C), Nashik (39.7C).
Heat wave warning
The IMD has declared heat wave conditions in various parts including coastal Konkan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, western and northern Maharashtra. Fourth heat wave warning of this season has been issued for coastal Konkan.
Be careful in the heat
Avoid going out if you start experiencing heatstroke and heat-related illnesses. Avoid going out especially between 11 pm and 4 am as the intensity of heat is higher at that time. Always carry sweets or chocolates with you whenever you go out. So when you feel thirsty drinking electrolyte water gives you quick relief. Also, use glasses on eyes and cap on head.
