Shiva is innocent, he blesses devotees very quickly: Yogi Adityanath

Gorakhpur, May 14 (Hindustan Times). Chief Minister and Gorakspithadhiswar Yogi Adityanath said that Lord Shiva is innocent. He blesses the devotees very quickly. From ancient times both Suras and Asuras worshiped him. This is his greatness. That is why he is called Mahadev. Shiva means welfare.

Chief Minister Yogi was expressing his thoughts before the pulpit during the seven-day (May 8 to 14) rest day of Shri Shiva Mahapurana Katha organized at Gorakhnath Temple on Sunday. He said that all of you devotees are fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to the greatness of the various forms of Devadhidev Mahadev from Srimukh of the ascetic saint Balakdas of Sri Shiva Mahapurana at the place of worship of Shiva Avatar Guru Gorakhnath.

He said that from the spiritual point of view the entire creation is blessed by Lord Shiva. There are jyotirlingas and temples of Lord Shiva from north to south, east to west in the country. Apart from being our rich spiritual heritage, twelve Jyotirlinga unite us in a thread of unity from a cultural point of view. To the east is Vaidyanath Dham and to the west is Somnath Dham. Baba Vishwanath Dham and Mahakaleshwar in Kashi and Omkareshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh. Kedarnath is perched on the Himalayas in the north, while Rameswaram in the far south is blessed by Lord Shiva in the form of Jyotirlinga. The Chief Minister said that Lord Sri Ram built the setubandh at Rameswaram to conquer Lanka and for this he worshiped Lord Shiva here. Describing the glories of Mahadev, Lord Sri Rama said that there is no place on earth for a traitor to Shiva.

Expressing his gratitude towards Kathavyas, he prayed to Lord Gorakhnath to grant everyone the merit of Katha Gyan Yajna and for everyone’s good life. At the end of the katha, he performed aarti at the pulpit and requested everyone to participate in the Srimad Bhagavata Purana Katha starting from Monday.
