Raipur, May 14 (Hindustan Times). (Update) Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday participated in the inaugural ceremony of ‘Nashmukt Chhattisgarh Abhiyan’ organized by Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya University at Shanti Sarovar in the capital Raipur under Naashmukt Bharat Abhiyan. Chief Minister Baghel inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Home Secretary Arun Dev Gautam, Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya University Dr. Sachin Parab, Dr. Banarasi Lal Shah, Brahmakumari Hemalta, Usha sister were present.

Addressing the function, the Chief Minister said that the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ launched by Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya is a commendable initiative in the direction of building society. Let us all participate to make the campaign ‘Drug Free Chhattisgarh’ successful.

The chief minister said that addiction usually starts in childhood or youth. At first they start drinking as a hobby, which gradually becomes a habit. It dissolves bitterness in life. Drug addiction is a major social evil, which is very harmful to all of us physically and mentally. It affects the individual, family and society as a whole. Conducting awareness campaign with social solidarity is a good option for de-addiction. The Chief Minister called upon the people present at the function and said that we should become de-addiction for the service of humanity as its addiction is the biggest. Before whom every intoxicant is left behind.

On this occasion, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh, all the people present in the ceremony took a pledge to make Chhattisgarh drug free. The Chief Minister congratulated the Brahma Kumari Divine University for the drug-free India campaign and assured cooperation from the government.
