Kaithal, May 13 (Hindustan Times). The mastermind behind the robbery and firing at a goldsmith shop in Rajund has been arrested by the police along with one of his accomplices. Police have already arrested two of his accomplices from Uttarakhand. Among the arrested miscreants, a youth from Jakhauli had fully planned the robbery.
The team of ASI Dharam Singh of CIA One took Sachin Sirohi, a resident of Ghatampur, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Avi, a resident of Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on six-day remand in connection with the robbery and firing. Both said that Sunil alias Midha, a resident of Jakhauli, had made a complete plan for the robbery. Pintu Rai, a resident of Ghaziabad’s Noorpur, was also involved in carrying out this incident. Police have arrested both.
It may be mentioned that on the evening of May 2, Rajkumar and his son Sonu were sitting at their jeweler’s shop in Rajound and 4 unknown bikers opened fire with intent to rob. Both Rajkumar and Sonu were injured. Rajkumar filed a complaint in Rajod police station. ASI Dharam Singh said that during remand, two illegal pistols and looted silver jewelery were recovered from accused Sachin and Avi. Accused Pintu is involved in hand supply work for last 2-3 years.
In this incident too, Pintu supplied arms. As many as 10 cases including robbery, attempt to murder, Arms Act, fighting have been registered against the accused Sunil alias Midha. Accused Sunil along with an accomplice committed a gunpoint robbery at a drug shop in Nawada Delhi under Uttam Nagar Police Station on 7 March 2023. Uttam Nagar Police is also looking for the accused Sunil in this case. All the accused were produced in the court on Sunday and taken on police remand.
