A case has been filed against the cleric on charges of embezzlement, corruption and fraud

Moradabad, May 13 (Hindustan Times). The director of a madrasa in Moradabad’s Sadar Kotwali area has accused a cleric posted as a teacher in his institution of corruption and fraud. Kotwal Amarnath Verma said that the Sadar Kotwali has initiated investigation into the case by filing a report on manager Tahrir against the accused cleric on Saturday.

Madrasa Akarmul Uloom Manager Mufti Abdul Mannat Kalimi told SSP Hemraj Meena Meena that Maulvi Qasim Raza, a resident of village Chandpur, Bhagatpur, was working as a temporary teacher in his madrasa. He started collecting money in the name of the organization. On learning about this, he asked for an answer from the teacher. The accused refused to give an account. The manager found several evidences of fraud. The manager sent a notice to the accused on August 2, 2021, seeking a reply, but he started issuing threats. After receiving continuous complaints, till January 20, 2023, the accused was asked to appear before the office-bearers of the institute with the documents. The accused Maulvi also produced fake letter pads and fake stamps of the principal and extorted Rs. per TC from the students. 1100 was embezzled. Along with this, the necessary documents of the organization were also missing. On January 20, the accused Maulvi was dismissed from the organization by the management. On the basis of Tahrir, the City Kotwali Police have registered a report against the accused and started investigating the incident.
