Government Polytechnic Jammu organizes workshop on how to start a start-up

Jammu, May 13 (Hindustan Times). In an initiative to create a great ecosystem for startups, Government Polytechnic Jammu on Saturday organized a one day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights for the students of sixth semester on how to start a start-up and for all the faculty and staff of the institute. to be done.

The workshop was organized with an aim to create a startup environment in the college which can help in creating more number of successful entrepreneurs thereby solving the problem of unemployment and bringing a sustainable economic solution.

Dr. Manish Gupta Dean Research & Innovation, Baba Farid Group of Institutions Bathinda was an expert in the workshop. While delivering his speech, Dr. Manish shared the success stories of many eminent entrepreneurs. He said that a budding entrepreneur should have a clear vision, good business plan and scope of customers who can use the product before launching his product.

Engineer Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu also addressed the students and advised them to believe in themselves and work hard to achieve their dreams. He also said that entrepreneurship is not only about dreaming but also about doing. He said that start-ups are the engines of exponential growth of New India as envisioned by our able Prime Minister.

The next session was conducted for the faculty and staff on Intellectual Property Rights. The session proved to be a practical forum for discussion on developing an IPR cell in the institute. The speaker emphasized on the role of patents in innovation and highlighted the process to facilitate it at the institute level.
