Bahraich: BJP has bagged one municipality seat and two Nagar Panchayat seats

Bahraich, 13 May (his). BJP candidate Sudha Devi won from Bahraich Municipality with maximum 15236 votes. The ROs of the respective institutions distributed the certificates to all the winning candidates. On the other hand, supporters congratulated him by wearing necklaces.

Major political parties were boasting and making all electoral efforts to win the municipal elections. But after the counting of votes was completed on Saturday, shocking results came out. Independent candidates registered victory in one municipality and one town panchayat, defeating the candidates of various political parties. Along with this, independent candidates are second in five bodies. BJP candidate from Bahraich Municipality Sudha Devi got 33984 votes and defeated her nearest rival independent candidate Rubina Rehan by 15236 votes. Rubina got 18748 votes. While SP candidate Zahida Begum came third, Zahida got 17375 votes. While Juhi Raza who contested from AIMIM got 10859 votes.

In Nagar Palika Nanpara, independent candidate Abdul Waheed got 12674 votes and defeated independent candidate Abdul Moheed Raju by 6020 votes. Abdul Mohid Raju got 6654 votes. On the other hand, BJP candidate Om Prakash Sharma had to settle for the third position with 4189 votes.

BJP candidate in Rupaidiha Nagar Panchayat Dr. Umashankar Vaish defeated independent candidate Zubair Farooqui in a close contest by 156 votes. While BJP’s Dr. Umashankar Vaish got 4652 votes, independent candidate Zubair Farooqui got 4496 votes. Surrounded by controversies since the nomination

In Payagpur Nagar Panchayat, SP candidate Balendra Srivastava defeated independent candidate Satyavati by 4418 votes. While Balendra got 7229 votes, independent candidate Satyavati got 2811 votes. And here BJP candidate Seema Singh had to settle for the third position with 2129 votes.

BJP candidate Jitendra Madesia defeated independent candidate Akhtar Ali by 316 votes in the newly formed Mihinpurwa Nagar Panchayat amid uproar. While independent candidate Akhtar Ali got 2795 votes while BJP’s Jitendra Madesia got 3111 votes. In Jawral Nagar Panchayat too, the condition of the ruling BJP candidate was dire. Here SP candidate Tasleem Bano got 3865 votes and defeated SDPI’s Sahib Alam by 2438 votes. Sahib Alam got 1427 votes. BJP’s Chandan Gupta is third with 1362 votes here. Kaisarganj Nagar Panchayat witnessed a close fight between SP and BJP. Here SP’s Yusuf Ali Sonu has defeated BJP’s Vijay Singh by 249 votes. Yusuf Ali got 4309 votes and BJP’s Vijay Pushpam got 4059 votes. Till the time of writing the uproar in Risia Nagar Panchayat continued.
