The California State Senate has approved SB-402, an anti-racism bill introduced by Senator Ayesha Wahab. In the voting held there, 34 votes were cast in favor of this bill and only 1 vote was cast against the bill. Now this bill will be presented in the assembly and then it will become law after the signature of the governor.
Upon passage of the anti-caste bill SB-403, all people in the state of California will have equal housing, benefits, facilities. SB-403 provides explicit protections to those who have been systematically harmed by racial bias and prejudice. After the passage of this bill in the Senate, California has now become the first state in America where discrimination on the basis of race has been declared illegal.
