Karnataka Elections 2023: Jairam surrounds Prime Minister Modi on the rise of Congress

New Delhi : Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Saturday said that the party is slowly moving towards victory in Karnataka. This victory is a direct defeat of Prime Minister Modi.

Jairam Ramesh said that the Congress party had fought this election on the local issues of livelihood and food security, price rise, farmers’ distress, power supply, unemployment and corruption, on which the people of Karnataka are stamping.

Ramesh tweeted that as the Karnataka election results are being finalised, it is becoming clear that the Congress has won and the Prime Minister has lost. He further said that divisive strategy was adopted in the election and polarization was attempted. But Karnataka has voted for an engine in Bengaluru that will combine economic growth with social harmony.

It is noteworthy that according to the Election Commission, till 12.30 pm, the Congress is leading on 130 seats. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 66 seats. Janata Dal (Secular) is leading on 22 seats, Kalyana Raj Pragati Paksha and Sarvodaya Karnataka Paksha on one seat each.
