Lucknow : By-elections were held on two assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Among these, BJP’s ally Apna Dal (S) has won the Swar assembly seat in Rampur. Apna Dal has wrested this seat from SP.
State’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has congratulated BJP and Apna Dal alliance candidate Shafiq Ahmed for the victory.
The Deputy Chief Minister has taunted SP chief Akhilesh Yadav by tweeting. He has said, “SP Bahadur Akhilesh Yadav has returned from South India Karnataka tour, now it would be good to break the silence for the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh as well!” Triple engine government is being formed!
