Pakistan: There has been an incident of firing outside the Islamabad High Court in Pakistan. Islamabad Police said that firing was done on the G-13 underpass. After this, former PM Imran Khan has been asked to return to the court room. Police say that no officer was injured during the firing. Search operation is going on here.
However, after 15 minutes of firing, the security arrangements outside the court have been cleared. According to sources on social media, gunshots were heard at the scene and tear gas shells were used to disperse the protesters. Internet service has been restored in many areas of Islamabad about an hour after the incident.
On the other hand, after the firing, Imran Khan appealed to the protesters to remain calm. He said in an appeal, “I have got bail from the court. I have been waiting for the last four hours to leave Lahore. The situation is still tense around G11 and G13 areas of Islamabad. Police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters. The sounds of aerial firing are still being heard in the area. Along with this, a vehicle has also been burnt by the protesters.
