Crime News: A shocking information has come out from Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand (Uttarakhand News). Wife, sister, mother, sister-in-law and old lady of the same family have been killed. The killing of four women in Barsam village of Kanara area of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand has spread panic among the villagers. All the members of the family in which three women were strangled to death have left the village out of fear. It has come to light that the accused also committed suicide after this murder.
The massacre took place in Barsam village of Uttarakhand. Santosh Ram Kumar, a resident of Chantola Tok, strangled his wife Chandrakala to death on May 12 morning. After which mother Hemanti Devi, sister-in-law Rama Devi and sister Maya Devi were killed from the neighbour’s house. Santhosh Ram Kumar, accused of four murders, was absconding. The police were looking for the killer, but could not find him. After which the body of accused Santosh Ram was found hanging from a tree on the bank of Ram Ganga on Monday.

Cholia dancer Santosh killed his wife, aunt, sister-in-law and sister-in-law by slitting their throats. All this shocking incident happened on Friday morning at 5 am. The police search team recovered the bodies at 9.35 pm on Friday. After the murder, the police along with the breathing squad were searching for the accused Santosh Ram on the India-Nepal border with the help of drones. More than 70 police personnel were searching the forest around Barsoom for four days in search of the accused.
The mother was informed about the murder
Superintendent of Police Lokeshwar Singh said on Saturday that prima facie it appears that Santosh called his mother after the murder. After killing all four, Santosh Ram called his mother and said that he had finished his work and was going to commit suicide. Since then his phone was switched off. After killing in the Barsam massacre, the killer Santosh Ram ran away with a blood-soaked sharp weapon in his hand. Now the police is also investigating this matter.
What was the reason for the murder?
Accused Santosh Ram was very upset with his uncle’s son Prakash. Both Santosh and Prakash used to dance Cholia. Santosh broke his leg a few years back, since then he has not been able to dance. Santhosh was angry with Prakash as Chhaliya could not dance. There was a quarrel between the women of both the families regarding this matter. Prakash was not at home on Friday when Santosh Ram killed the four women.
Meanwhile, the publication had earlier complained that there were frequent fights and threats with Santosh Ram. Police said he was roaming around the house with sharp weapons.
