At present, the news of relief for Imran Khan is that the Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore has granted him anticipatory bail till June 2 in three cases including the attack on Jinnah House on May 9.
However, the Lahore Police has arrested 8 people in connection with the violence that took place on 9 May. Police say that these people were hiding near Imran Khan’s house and were caught while running.
Ever since the news of Army Act being imposed on Imran Khan and his supporters, there is an atmosphere of fear among the former Prime Minister and his supporters. This is because it has very strict provisions and once a case is registered, it is difficult to escape. Under this, there is a provision of two years to life imprisonment and death sentence.
