Mumbai: During the verification of Maharashtra Board’s Class 12 Physics paper, there was an uproar after two fake signatures were found in 372 answer sheets. All the papers had the same signature on the back page. Therefore, the board has registered a case of such fraud against the investigating officer and finally against the two professors.
How can 372 characters of the same person appear on paper at the same time? It came to the notice of the board after checking the answer books of Ambejogai (Bed) and Kabmanuri (Hingoli) subjects of Physics of Class 12 examination by teachers Rahul Usre and Manisha Shinde of Rajkunwar Junior College in Soigaon taluk.
Despite the order to check the answer sheets and send them to the board by March 13, these teachers kept the papers for 25 days and returned them to the board on April 8. Along with this, the information about having two signatures in this paper was not given to the board, but during the re-examination of the paper, this matter came to the attention of the moderator, who informed the board about this. So the board checked and inquired with the student, invigilator, guardian, exam center manager, moderator and principal to verify the signature.
At the end of this investigation, it was revealed that the two teachers who checked the paper were the culprits. Hence, a case of fraud has been registered against him and further action has been taken.
