Ghaziabad: During a police encounter in Loni on Wednesday, police station Loni has arrested a miscreant carrying a reward of 25 thousand. The miscreant was injured by the police bullet. An I-10 car, a pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Ravi Kumar said that police station Loni and SWAT team were investigating in Pusta Road Khanna Nagar Chowki area. After that, a car rider who was going in a suspicious condition was signaled to stop during checking, after which the car started speeding away in the morning. He was chased and his car ended up on the side of the road. The car rider got down and started running after firing at the police. On this the police team retaliated and opened fire. The miscreant fell down after being injured by a police bullet. The police caught him. During interrogation, the caught miscreant revealed his name as Mehraj. He is a resident of Gori Patti Loni. He has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
