If your account is with the same bank then you can easily exchange 2000 note within a fixed limit. There is no limit on deposits in the bank account. If your bank account is not in PNB then you can exchange notes there by showing ID proof. Actually, banks maintain identity cards to keep a record of non-account holders. You can change 10 notes of 2 thousand in a day. You can deposit any amount in the account, but for depositing more than 50 thousand you will have to show PAN card or Aadhaar card.
