Inauguration of New Parliament Building: PM Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28. A commemorative coin of Rs 75 will also be released on this occasion. The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification in this regard to commemorate the occasion of inauguration of Parliament House. The coin will have a picture of the Parliament complex and the new Parliament building. According to a Finance Ministry statement, the Rs 75 coin will be circular in shape with a diameter of 44 mm.

This coin will be of four metals. It will contain 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel and 5 percent zinc. The year 2023 will be written below the picture of the Parliament complex. PM Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building. At least 25 parties are expected to participate in the opening ceremony. 20 opposition forces have boycotted the programme.

Targeting opposition forces, PM Modi for inaugurating the new Parliament building said that his government’s arrogance has ruined the parliamentary system. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted and alleged that Modiji’s parliament is a temple of democracy established by the people. The office of the President is the first organ of Parliament. The arrogance of your government has destroyed the parliamentary system.

The Rs 75 coin released on the occasion of the inauguration of Parliament House will be of 35 grams. It will contain 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent zinc and 5 percent nickel. As for its design, it will have Ashoka pillar on one side and 75 rupees will be written below it.
