The film industry resumed its shooting at a brisk pace after the easing of restrictions in the country. Almost all the actors have started work on their projects but there is no certainty about the opening of theaters in the coming days, even though Tollywood has asked very polite permission to screen films. There is a long discussion between the manufacturers and distributors in Hyderabad. It is expected that in the coming weeks there will be more meetings between the directors and the producers.
There is no need to worry about the third wave of COVID as experts had already predicted that it could hit the country by mid-August and emphasized on ‘May’ which shows possibility. Some distributors and exhibitors are in no mood to reopen theaters if there is a possible third wave. Screening of films at this time will cause huge loss to the makers. Some of them say that the audience will not rush to the theaters in these tense situations. The second wave of the pandemic is still not over. It is currently being discussed and things will be finalized before this weekend.
Some filmmakers are more inclined to release completed films as interest grows. More details are awaited till further details are received.
