Indian players continue to perform well in Tokyo Paralympics 2020. India’s Rubina Francis made a good start on Tuesday reaching the finals of the women’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 event.
Earlier on Monday, many players from India won medals by performing brilliantly. Avni Lekhara of Jaipur and athlete Sumit Antil won gold medals on Monday.
Athlete Sumit Antil created history in the javelin throw event by creating a world record thrice in F65 in just under 15 minutes. With the golden success, Sumit did a new feat in Paralympic history by creating a world record thrice in a single event.
Sumit threw 66.95 meters in the first attempt, 68.08 meters in the second, and 68.55 meters in the fifth attempt to register the world record for the third time in this event. PM Modi has also congratulated Sumit by calling him for this success.
