However, people are not able to trust its words because the US federal investigators are trying to confirm that the E.coli bacteria infection has spread by eating McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburger. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Tuesday that E.coli bacteria infection has spread by eating McDonald’s burgers, due to which at least 49 people have fallen ill in 10 states and one of them has died. Initial investigation done by the US Food and Drug Administration has revealed that the E.coli bacteria infection was caused by the onions in the Quarter Pounder hamburger.

Burgers removed from McDonald’s restaurants
McDonald’s said it is looking for a new supplier to provide fresh onions. Meanwhile, the Quarter Pounder hamburger has been removed from McDonald’s located in the states affected by E. coli bacteria as well as parts of other states. McDonald’s said it has been working closely with federal food safety regulators since it learned about the E. coli bacteria outbreak last weekend. McDonald’s has more than 14,000 restaurants in the US and serves one million Quarter Pounder hamburgers every two weeks in the affected area. E. coli bacteria thrive in the intestines of animals and are found in the environment. This infection can cause fever, stomach cramps, and bloody diarrhea. It can also lead to death.
