Beijing: China on Wednesday claimed that the sovereignty of the valley has been “always the same” after the violent clash between the Chinese and the Indian Army in the Galvan Valley of East Ladakh. India said on Tuesday that the violent clash between the Indian and Chinese armies in eastern Ladakh was caused by “the Chinese side’s attempt to unilaterally change the status quo” in the area.
The Foreign Ministry said that if the Chinese side had followed it seriously at the top level in the past, then the damage to both sides could have been avoided. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian refused to comment on the reports of casualties of 43 Chinese side soldiers in the clash on Monday night.
He said, “The forces on the border are dealing with relevant matters.” Asked by the spokesperson that India has released the casualties, but why China is not reporting the casualties, Zhao said, “I have said that the Chinese and Indian Border Force meet the relevant case Settling at the ground level. At the moment, I have nothing more to say about this.
Zhao said that both sides are resolving it through diplomatic and military means through dialogue on the situation on the border of China and India. In response to several questions from reporters, he said, “The overall boundary situation is stable and controllable”.
The Indian Army has said in a statement that a total of 20 Indian soldiers have been martyred in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. Already, the skirmish is going on at the border standoff between the two sides. This is the biggest military confrontation between the two countries in the last nearly five decades, which has further aggravated the already existing deadlock on the border.
There is a standoff between the Indian and Chinese forces in Pangong So, Galwan Valley, Demchok and Daulat Beg Oldi areas of eastern Ladakh. In many areas, including Pangong So, Chinese military personnel have encroached on the border. The Indian Army has strongly objected to this action of the Chinese army and has demanded immediate withdrawal of peace in the area. In order to remove the deadlock, in the last few days, there have been several talks from both sides.
