T20 World Cup anthem release, Virat Kohli and Kieron Pollard show different ‘Avatar’

The International Cricket Council (ICC) also released the official anthem of the upcoming T20 World Cup and a promotional campaign film. In this film, avatars of some players including Indian legend Virat Kohli and West Indies captain Kieron Pollard are seen. The tournament will start on October 17 in Oman and UAE. The final will be played on November 14 in Dubai.

The animated film, composed under the music direction of Bollywood music director Amit Trivedi, features young T20 fans across the globe and some of the sport’s stalwarts. Indian captain Kohli leads the group of players. It also includes defending champion West Indies captain Pollard, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan.

After the Kovid-19 epidemic, 16 countries of the world will participate in the biggest cricket competition. The tournament will be inaugurated on October 17 when Oman take on Papua New Guinea, who made their debut in the men’s T20 World Cup. This match will be played at the Oman Cricket Academy in Muscat.

Pollard said, ‘It is always special to wear the West Indies jersey and step on the field. This upcoming World Cup will give us even more special moments. We know that our fans will be fully involved, watching and supporting the match and we want to give a lot to make them happy.
