A copy of the contract between Sushant and Yash Raj Films has reached the Bandra police investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. According to the contract, three films were signed between Sushant Singh and Yash Raj Films. Sushant was given 30 lakh rupees for the first time.
According to the contract, if the first film was a hit, Sushant Singh Rajput would have got 60 lakh rupees for the second film and if the second film were also a hit, he would have got one crore rupees for the third film. Although the film is a hit or flop, Yash Raj Films had the right to decide it.
Sushant’s first film with Yash Raj Films was ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’. Her opposite Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor were in it. Sushant was given Rs 30 lakhs for this film. Sushant’s second film was Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and for the film made under the direction of Dibakar Banerjee, Sushant was given one crore rupees.
Sushant’s third film with Yash Raj Films was ‘Pani’ and was to be directed by Shekhar Kapoor. According to the official statement of Yash Raj Films lodged at the police station, the film could not be made due to creative differences between Aditya Chopra and Shekhar Kapoor.
Explain that Yash Raj Films’ casting director Shanu Sharma gave a statement to the police during questioning. In this, he told, ‘Sushant was very keen on his third film’ Pani ‘with Yash Raj. Yash Raj also wanted to make it a big budget film. Yash Raj Films also spent Rs 4-5 crores on the pre-production of this film. But there was no consensus between Aditya Chopra and director Shekhar Kapur to make the film. Both had become quite creative differences. Because of which this film could not be made. Sushant was saddened by the lack of this film and decided to leave Yash Raj Films.
