New No.1 all-rounder named ahead of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, Harmanpreet Kaur finds place in top 10
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The top spot in the Women's all-rounders rankings, prior to the T20 World Cup 2026, belongs to Amelia Kerr of New Zealand. In the batter's rankings, Harmanpreet Kaur has made it to the top 10.
Amelia Kerr, the skipper of New Zealand has made it to the top in the Women's T20I all-rounders' rankings in the latest weekly update. This is just weeks before the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 commences on June 12. West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews has been displaced by Amelia Kerr, after losing her top position following her absence from the final T20I fixture in the recent tri-series held in Ireland.
The current leader Amelia Kerr is in a dominant position but it does not last long as she stands only 5 rating points clear of Matthews, having a total rating of 478. While there were no other changes made to the top 10, the top 20 has seen some changes with Kathryn Brace from Scotland making a jump of 9 places to be 17th. This jump in the rankings comes following her impressive performances in the tri-series against Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
Harmanpreet Kaur back in the top 10
Harmanpreet Kaur's current status as captain of the Indian team has received a boost. The right-handed batter has made it back into the top 10 of the T20I batters' rankings following her recently played half-century against England in the third T20I. Harmanpreet Kaur currently has 655 rating points to her name and leads New Zealand veteran Sophie Devine by five rating points.
In the top 10 batters' rankings, no other changes have been made with Georgia Voll from Australia (815) leading the charts from Beth Mooney (788) by a difference of 27 rating points. The leading batter from India at the top 10 spot in the batter's ranking is Smriti Mandhana at No. 5.
Several changes in the bowler's rankings
On the other hand, there are numerous changes in the T20I bowlers' rankings. England spinner Linsey Smith continues to hold on to her top 2 spot with others making upward movements in the top 10. England seamer Lauren Bell moves to No.2 along with Pakistan tweaker Sadia Iqbal. Charlie Dean has made a climb up one rung and Nonkululeko Mlaba from South Africa has made a move of two places up in the charts. India's Sree Charani drops by 3 places down to a tied seventh position.
The Women's T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 12 with England hosting the tournament. The host country is part of Group B along with current champions New Zealand, past champions West Indies, Sri Lanka, Scotland and Ireland.
The "group of death" would be Group 2 as India takes on the formidable Australian side, the runner-up for the last two World Cups, alongside South Africa, Netherlands (new entrants), Bangladesh and Pakistan.
