In a market in Old Seemapuri, three assailants killed a young man by stabbing him in broad daylight. A video of this sensational incident has also surfaced, in which the attackers are seen mercilessly attacking them. The insensitivity of the people is also clearly visible in this. People stood watching the spectacle in the market, no one tried to stop the attackers.​​​​​​​

The deceased has been identified as Shahrukh, a resident of Old Seemapuri. On the basis of the video, the police have identified the accused Zubair and Aditya and arrested them, while their accomplice Zafar is absconding. A murder case has been registered at Seemapuri police station and an investigation is going on. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was of criminal background, he was having an affair with the married sister of one of the accused. Because of this, he was murdered. According to the police, three assailants surrounded Shahrukh at around 5 pm on Wednesday in the ration street in the market of Old Seemapuri.

First beaten up with kicks and bribes. The three attackers took out knives and started attacking him. Shahrukh tried hard to escape, but the attackers did not leave him. One of the attackers even threw an iron chair on his head. A large number of people were present in the market during the incident. Shopkeepers started closing the shutters of their shops. Some people kept watching. No one came forward to help Shahrukh. Within no time, Shahrukh fell unconscious.

After the attackers fled, people informed the police about the incident. After reaching the spot, the police came to know that people took Shahrukh to GTB Hospital in an injured condition. When the police reached there, the doctors of the hospital declared Shahrukh brought dead. After registering a murder case in this case, the police identified the three accused from the footage and videos of several CCTV cameras. All are residents of Old Seemapuri. Two accused have been arrested.
