Jhansi:   A massive fire broke out in the children’s ward of Jhansi’s medical college on Friday night. So far 10 children have died in the accident. While the condition of five children is said to be critical. The rescue team is engaged in the rescue. Around 47 newborns were admitted to the ward. Late Friday night, 10 newborn babies died due to burns and suffocation in a massive fire that broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SNCU) ward of Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College. 47 newborns were admitted to the ward where the fire broke out. 

31 newborn babies were rescued

By the time this news was written, 31 newborns had been taken out of the ward. As soon as the news of the accident was received, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The army was also called. Army and fire brigade vehicles are engaged in extinguishing the fire. There is chaos in the hospital premises due to the death of ten newborns. The parents of the newborns are also pleading to save their newborns. In the initial investigation, it was said that it was a cylinder blast.

The commissioner and DIG will investigate the matter

People were saying that there was a lot of smoke.
