On the Supreme Court asking the Shahi Jama Masjid Committee to go to the Allahabad High Court, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said – “The Supreme Court has given a good decision in the interest of the country. The people of the country should welcome it.”

The Supreme Court has stayed the hearing of the lower court. The hearing of the lower court will remain stayed until the High Court gives an order on this matter. The Supreme Court will hear this case again in the week starting from January 6.

The Muslim side has raised questions on many such cases across the country. The Supreme Court said that a separate hearing is going on on the Places of Worship Act and this case will be kept there.

The Supreme Court has not stopped the Advocate Commissioner from filing the survey report in the trial court. The court has said that the report should be submitted in a sealed envelope.

The Supreme Court has asked the mosque committee to go to the High Court to challenge the trial court’s order. The Supreme Court said that the trial court should not take any action in the meantime, the mosque committee approached the High Court. 

The CJI said that we will keep the matter pending. Nothing should happen in the meantime. The Supreme Court said that we are maintaining peace and brotherhood in the area. The CJI told the district administration that you should maintain your harmony after this. Make sure that a meeting of the peace committee is held.

The Supreme Court said that the Muslim side has the right to challenge the lower court’s decision in a higher court. The Supreme Court indicated that it could stay the trial court’s action.

The Supreme Court told the lower court that the lower court should not take any action in this matter. The CJI said that the mosque committee should file its reply.

The Muslim side has demanded an immediate stay on the lower court’s decision. A bench of CJI Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar is hearing the case. The petition states that this is an extraordinary case, so the court should take an extraordinary step in this matter and immediately stay the lower court’s decision.

Hearing on the petition of Shahi Jama Masjid Committee on the Sambhal Masjid dispute case has started in the Supreme Court. The Masjid Committee has challenged the lower court’s order of survey in the Supreme Court.

On the incident in Sambhal, Union Minister Jayant Singh Chaudhary said- “The Supreme Court should decide. I think the Places of Worship Act has its sanctity and the Ayodhya verdict and the Supreme Court have also laid down some paths. So now it is up to the Supreme Court to make guidelines on it. No one should take the law into their own hands. Why is a crowd being created? Why is stone pelting happening?”

Advocate Shakeel Ahmad Waseem, representing the Shahi Jama Masjid Committee of Sambhal, said, “We appeared in court on behalf of the mosque and requested that copies of documents related to the case be given to us and the court ordered the same. The survey report was not submitted today. The survey team has sought an extension of time to submit the report. Now there will be no other survey (of the mosque).”

Maulana Khalid Rashid of AIMPLB said, “We all have condemned the Sambhal incident and the way courts are ordering surveys of various mosques. A sense of insecurity has grown in the minds of Muslims, especially regarding mosques. We have appealed to Muslim communities and parties to maintain peace. I again appeal to Muslims that we should have faith in the Constitution.

.The next hearing in the Shahi Jama Masjid case located in Sambhal, UP will be held on January 8.

Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that the police force is deployed at all sensitive places in Sambhal. Apart from this, vigilance is being maintained in all five districts of the Moradabad division.

The petition demands that the lower court’s decision be stayed immediately. The Supreme Court Chief Justice’s bench will hear this matter on Friday. One party in the Supreme Court is the management of Shahi Jama Masjid, while the other party is Hari Shankar Jain. 

The survey report of Shahi Jama Masjid will be presented by the ASI team in the district court today. Earlier, Vishnu Kumar Sharma, the lawyer representing the Government of India and ASI, said – “We can file our reply in the court today.”

The Supreme Court will hear the Sambhal case on Friday. The management committee of Sambhal’s Shahi Masjid has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The CJI-led bench may hear this case around 11:30-12 noon or after that.

Security has been tightened in Sambhal before Friday prayers. Drone cameras and security forces have been deployed in Sambhal, UP before the prayers.

Moradabad Range DIG Muniraj ji said, “Friday namaz will be held peacefully and we have made all arrangements for this. A 3-tier security plan has been implemented. PSC and RAF have also been deployed.”

On Sambhal violence, Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav said- “The issue is whether the victim side will be able to give their statemen.? So much fear is being spread by the officers in Sambhal. As long as these are the currently posted officers, people in Sambhal will not come out of their homes to give statements. It would be better if the DM, SP, and were removed.”

On the Sambhal incident, Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan said, “There should be control overumorsrs as well. There is a rumor in the entire Moradabad that namaz will not be offered at Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal but namaz will be offered amid tight security. There is no need to panic, go to the mosque, offer namaz, and pray for peace.” 

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel stressed the need to conduct a thorough investigation iof nth public interest and to ensure transparency. It said the inquiry commission will be headed by retired Allahabad High Court judge Devendra Kumar Arora and other members include retired Indian Administrative Service officer Amit Mohan Prasad and retired Indian Police Service officer Arvind Kumar Jain. 

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the formation of a three-member judicial inquiry commission to probe the violence that took place during the survey of the Jama Masjid in Sambhal on November 24. 

The hearing on the survey of Jama Masjid is to be held in the district court located in Chandausi of Sambhal. The survey report is also to be presented in the court, for which the lawyers of the Muslim and Hindu sides have completed the preparations. 

On Friday, the police tightened security arrangements at the court and the mosque in the district following the violence that took place on November 24 during the survey of the Jama Masjid in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh.
