Information about the new facelift version of Jeep Compass has been revealed. Fiat Chrysler India may launch it in India next year. By the way, there is no major change in its exterior. 2021 Jeep Compass has been tweaked. It also has a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with UConnect 5.0 software. Amazon Alexa will also support this system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car has a Wi-Fi hotspot enabled. FCA says that its infotainment software supports OTA updates. The UConnect app keeps updating the car’s fuel level and general health. The car can be remotely started through the app. AC can also be switched on from the app. Apart from this, there can be many more functions through the app.
Many other changes have been made in the new version. The facelift version of the Jeep Compass comes with a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The engine produces outputs of 130hp / 270Nm and 150hp / 270Nm. There is a 6-speed manual or DCT option for transmission. The power transmission is only to the front wheel. The four-wheel-drive system is for a 2.0-liter engine.
Sports mode for
petrol engine Sports mode has been given for the petrol engine with DCT transmission. It can be activated with a button on the dashboard. FCA says this increases the efficiency of the fast-spinning petrol engine. Fuel capacity is higher than 1.4-liter petrol. It also has a plug-in hybrid petrol version, but it is likely that it will not be brought into the Indian market. This version of the Jeep Compass can be brought to the European market by the end of this year.
