The Australian city of Brisbane has secured the hosting of the 2032 Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Wednesday. The Gabba Stadium in Brisbane will be converted into an Olympic stadium. An underground rail stop will also be built near this stadium.
Olympic Games have also been held in Melbourne and Sydney
Australia will host the Summer Olympic Games for the third time. Before this, the Olympic Games have been held in Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000. Australia will become the third country to host three or more Summer Olympic Games. The US has organized 4 Summer Olympics and Britain has organized 3 Summer Olympics so far. The Summer Olympics have been held twice each in France, Germany, and Greece. France will also become the country to host the Summer Olympics three times in 2024.
Two sports villages will be built
Two sports villages will be built for the 2032 Olympic Games. One sports village will be built in Brisbane and the other in Gold Coast. After meeting in Tokyo, the International Olympic Committee decided to hand over the hosting of the 2032 Games to Brisbane. The entire delegation of Queensland was present on this occasion. Brisbane is the capital of the Australian state of Queensland.

The celebrations have begun in Brisbane and Australia after hosting the 2032 Games. After this news became public, fireworks were also done in Brisbane. Green and yellow color lighting was also done on Victoria Bridge.
India had also claimed
Some other countries including India also showed interest to host the 2032 Olympic Games. These included Indonesia, Qatar, Spain, and Germany. However, their claim did not progress beyond the board stage at the IOC and eventually, Brisbane got the host. India can make a strong claim for the 2036 Olympic Games. It is believed that Ahmedabad can be presented as a host city.
