Avani created a new Paralympic Games record by scoring 249.6 in 9 rounds with 52.0, 51.3, 21.6, 20.8, 21.2, 20.9, 21.2, 20.1, 20.5. On the other hand, Si Zhang of China won the silver medal with 248.9 points and Irina Skhetnik of Ukraine won the bronze with 227.5 points. Avani had secured the seventh position in the qualification round. After which she performed brilliantly by reaching the finals.
