Breast cancer is not fatal but if it is not treated on time then it is definitely fatal. If awareness about breast cancer is not increased, then it will emerge as a very serious threat to Indian women. The only way to avoid this is awareness. The exact cause of this cancer in women is not known, but it is speculated that it is due to hormonal or genetic reasons.
Causes of breast cancer:
Age: The risk of developing breast cancer increases with age.
# Other diseases: If you already have cancer or breast related disease then its risk increases.
Hormones: The risk of breast cancer increases due to hormones called estrogen and progesterone.
# Lifestyle: Alcoholic and chaotic lifestyle causes breast cancer.
# Genetic: Breast cancer is caused by a genetically inherited gene.
Symptoms of breast cancer:
# A bulge or thickening on the breast or under the arm (in the armpit).
# Leakage of water or blood from the nipple.
# Inward sinking of nipples.
# Redness or swelling on the breast.
# Formation of pits of an orange-like texture on the breast skin.
# Any change in the roundness of the breast, such as the appearance of one more than the other.
An abscess or ulcer on the skin of the breast that does not heal.
Consumption of these reduces the chances of breast cancer:
# Black tea: Black tea contains a chemical called epi gallo catechin gallate which provides protection to the body from breast cancer. But hot tea helps cancer cells to grow. That’s why drinking lukewarm hot tea is good for health.
Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits contain phytochemicals that help prevent cancer cells from developing.
