Corona Virus: 9,304 new cases a day in the country, 6,075 deaths so far

Delhi: So far, 9,304 new cases of Corona Virus Infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, while 260 people have died. With this, till Thursday, the number of infected and dying from this deadly virus has increased to 2,16,919 and 6,075 respectively. After America, Brazil, Russia, Britain, Spain, and Italy, India is now in seventh place in the list of countries most affected by the Coronavirus.

The Union Health Ministry said that 1,06,737 infected patients are undergoing treatment in the country and 1,04,106 people have become healthy and one patient has gone out of the country. “So far, about 47.99 percent of the patients have recovered,” a senior official said. 260 people have died due to this deadly virus since Wednesday morning. Of these, the highest 122 deaths were in Maharashtra, 50 in Delhi, 30 in Gujarat, 11 in Tamil Nadu, 10 in West Bengal, seven each in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.

After this, six people died in Rajasthan, four in Andhra Pradesh, one person each died in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. In Maharashtra, the virus has killed 2,587 people so far. This was followed by 1,122 in Gujarat, 371 in Madhya Pradesh, 345 in West Bengal, 229 in Uttar Pradesh, 209 in Rajasthan, 208 in Tamil Nadu, 99 in Telangana and 68 in Andhra Pradesh.

53 people died in Karnataka, 47 in Punjab, 34 in Jammu and Kashmir, 25 in Bihar, 23 in Haryana, 11 in Kerala, eight in Uttarakhand and seven in Odisha. Five-five people died in Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jharkhand. Four people died in Assam, two in Chhattisgarh, one each in Meghalaya, and Ladakh. According to the ministry’s website, 30 percent of the dead were already suffering from other diseases.
