For the first time, the sharecroppers have been included in the insurance scheme. Under this, the farmer gets insurance cover up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh. More than 2 crore farmers are associated with the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and a compensation of Rs 2,208 crore has been given to more than 25 lakh 60 thousand farmers under this scheme.
Sugarcane farmers were not paid so much in the history of UP,
CM Yogi did not leave the worry of the farmers even in the Corona epidemic. During this, sugar mills continued to run in the state and all activities related to farming were allowed so that farmers do not face any kind of problem. In the previous governments, sugar mills were being closed and dues of sugarcane farmers were increasing year after year, but CM Yogi modernized and expanded 20 sugar mills. For the first time in the history of UP, 45 lakh sugarcane farmers have been paid more than 1 lakh 40 thousand crores.
